PPB has done it again with their Petunia Pickle Bottom Scout Journey Pack. This time, though, it’s a dad diaper bag.

I love Petunia Pickle Bottom, especially their Cake collection. However, the Scout collection introduced in Fall 2009 is definitely near the top of my list in men’s diaper bags. It’s one my husband would carry without complaint.

Too many times we focus on diaper bags for women and forget dads. Yet this is a bag that certainly gives men style, in the masculine sense, as well as function. Orange may be considered the least liked color, but it continues to be a hot color for shoppers. In fact, “orange handbags” and “orange diaper bags” continue to be near the top of most searched color phrases.

Why?

Perhaps it’s because orange is a unique color. Unlike pink diaper bags and blue diaper bags which are standard in the baby bag realm and black bags which there are SO many to choose from, orange is different. Orange is also a color that can carry you through spring, summer, and fall - in other words from spring flowers to fall leaves.

One of the drawbacks I think is that orange doesn’t go with everything. Can you imagine an orange diaper bag and a red top or skirt? Maybe the right shade of orange. For me, if I carried an orange diaper bag, I would have to buy something else for days when I wear colors that I don’t think go with orange.
