Meet The Munchlers!

Sep-17-2008 By Sandeigh

Built NY Munchlers Kids Lunch BagsWhat are Munchlers? Well, they are kids lunch bags from Built NY. The company set out to make a lunchbox that would captivate children. They collaborated with award-winning children’s book illustrator Stephen Savage and created a line of zoo animal inspired lunchboxes perfect for little hands.

The bags are available in sets of 2 or, if you can’t decide, there is a set of all 4. The animals included in the set of 4 are:

  • Benny (Tiger)
  • Boo (Panda)
  • Lefty (Dog)
  • Meadow (Bunny)

All bags are insulated to keep food and beverages at the right temperature. The bags are also tested lead and food safe.

One unique feature is that these lunch boxes unzip flat for use as a placement or for easy storage.

National Geographic is now offering a line of animal backpacks for kids. Unlike the cartoonish animal-themed backpacks out there, these bags feature pictures, patterns, and colors of real animals like poison dart frogs, greater flamingos, bengal tigers, loggerhead sea turtles, and more.

The National Geographic kids backpacks are sized for children’s bodies and feature:

  • Padded straps and back for comfort
  • Reflective binding for visibility at night
  • Organizer pocket with pocket for ID card
  • Reinforced daisy chain for attaching personal accessories

Wildkin Princess Kids Lunch BagKids lunch bags are a great way to make children happy — they love to carry around a bag that they can show off and be proud of. Not only that, but lunch bags are a great way to advocate using reusable bags as a lifestyle choice.

One especially fun lunch bag is the princess design by Wildkin. Most little girls would love to own this bag! The inside is done in washable polyester fabric to make sure it stays clean and fresh. Wildkin also makes a princess duffel bag in the same print if your daughter is one who likes to match. Another classic favorite is the Disney Princess Lunch Bag, with Belle, Cinderella, and Giselle on the front. The bag says “Pretty as a Princess” and has two separate pouches for hot and cold items. Wildkin also makes several different designs for boys, including themes such as camping, astronauts, cars, insects, construction, jungle, soccer, firemen, and dinosaurs.

All of these bags are made from durable nylon fabric and are easy to wash and keep clean. The shoulder strap is detachable for easy carrying. There is a special container for beverages to keep them cold. Packing lunches are also a great way to ensure that your child is getting proper nutrition. Buying a kids lunch bag that your child likes to use will provide extra incentive to pack healthy lunches and snacks.

Jansport Half Pint BackpackAs summer begins to wind down, one of the best ways to get your kid excited about the new school year is to go shopping for new school supplies. There is nothing like new school supplies to start the year afresh. Freshly sharpened pencils, binders, crayons, erasers, new clothes, and new backpacks make the transition easier and much more fun.

New school bags are always a favorite among kids. The older your child gets, the better quality the bag needs to be. If your child is going to be carrying around heavy books, it is a good idea to invest in a backpack that can be rolled. Mothers have often commented that Jansport backpacks last for more than one school year and are designed to carry a lot. The JanSport wheeled Super Break is made with a three-stage molded and padded rubber handle for extra comfort when rolling, and corner-mounted inline skate wheels for a controlled and stable motion. For younger kids who do not need to lug around quite as much, the JanSport Half Pint is one of the coolest bags around. This bag is smaller than the classic Super Break backpack and is therefore perfect for smaller bodies. The pack comes in a multitude of colors and patterns including white with stars, leopard, and zebra print.
